KEMCRISTAL has set a target to achieve an absolute reduction of at least 21% in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2030, compared with the 2025 baseline year — a pathway aligned with the 1.5°C level of ambition, in accordance with the criteria of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
The company is currently in the process of formally aligning this target with the SBTi framework through the dedicated route for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Progress towards the target is reviewed annually by the company’s management, together with the update of the emissions inventory for the previous year. The first effective comparison against the 2025 baseline year is scheduled for Q1 2027.
